A Little About Shelbi’s Role
Shelbi (she/her) joined the Day Treatment team at Youable in December 2024 as a pre-licensed mental health counselor. She is very excited to meet and work with amazing people in a mental health/school setting while providing compassionate and comprehensive support for clients experiencing various mental and emotional health challenges.
Through compassionate care, Shelbi plans to create a positive environment for individual, familial, and community growth. She will strive to build a therapeutic relationship based on trust, understanding, and positive regard. She says she will utilize creativity to meet the needs of each client and family and ensure a positive, safe, and non-judgmental environment for all clients.
Outside of work, Shelbi is an extrovert who loves spending time with others and attending fun events! She loves horses and enjoys volunteering at We Can Ride. Additionally, Shelbi enjoys traveling, shopping, reading, knitting, practicing Spanish on Duolingo, and attending faith-based activities.
