Jeffrey Hill, PsyD, LP
Hello! I’m Dr. Jeffrey (He/Him/His), a psychologist specializing in the assessment and treatment of complex trauma as well as general clinical evaluations and therapy for children, teens, and adults. With over 14 years of experience, I have provided psychological evaluations, therapy, training, and supervision services. My expertise includes conducting complex trauma-specific psychological assessments and implementing evidence-based treatment modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), exposure-based trauma treatments, anger management, dual diagnosis treatment, and family and group therapies. I have also designed and directed student training programs focused on complex trauma assessments, mentoring both students and licensed clinicians to enhance their skills in this specialized area.
I am trained and experienced in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Anchored Relational therapy (AIR Network), therapeutic assessments, and supervision for students and licensure-track clinicians. I also facilitate individual and group consultations with a developmental trauma focus. My clinical work emphasizes psychological evaluations and therapy for individuals with severe and complex trauma-related disorders, ensuring tailored and compassionate care.
I work with children, adolescents, and adults presenting with diverse clinical challenges, including: Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex PTSD, Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) and other dissociative disorders, Depression and anxiety, Dual diagnoses, Family conflict and legal/probation issues, ADHD, anger control challenges, High-functioning Autism, Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD), Multi-diagnosis, and other clinically complex cases.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, warm, multiculturally mindful, feminist-informed, and grounded in empowerment for both clients and clinicians. As a former clinic owner, I oversaw clinic development, administration, student training programs, and compliance activities. My internship and postdoctoral training at African American Family Services laid the foundation for my expertise in multicultural, trauma-focused therapy and assessment.
I firmly believe in client empowerment, the importance of feminist and multicultural mindfulness, and the idea that clients are the experts of their own experiences. Healing happens when clients feel believed in, empowered, and supported by individualized assessments and interventions tailored to their unique needs. A well-conducted psychological or diagnostic assessment should not only provide clarity but also serve as an empowering first step in the healing process.
When I’m not in the office, I enjoy a variety of exercise and outdoor activities, including mountain biking, hiking, and weightlifting. I’m passionate about continued learning (yes, I’m a psychology geek), love music, and am always up for spontaneous coffee meetups.

Lynelle Thorpe, MA, LADC
Hello! I’m Lynelle, a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and mental health therapist with over 35 years of experience in the mental health field. My experience includes outpatient mental health counseling for kids as a school-based therapist in an Elementary school, family therapy, couples counseling, and individual therapy from ages 6-82. I worked as a drug and mental health counselor with adult men and women in both residential and out-patient therapy at Regions Hospital. I have over 10 years' experience working with kids and adults with developmental disabilities and autism that include group home settings and schools. I sincerely believe in the resilience of the human mind and spirit and have devoted my career to understanding and nurturing emotional health.
I specialize in trauma and PTSD, ADHD, ASD and 12-step recovery, concentrating on healing from trauma, reducing impulsive behavior and sobriety. These specializations enable me to support clients as they navigate through childhood trauma, behavioral challenges that can come with both ADHD/ASD and the struggle to get clean and sober.
I am passionate about helping my clients heal from their pain, whether it be from adverse childhood experiences in the past or present or coming along side of a client who has experienced trauma as an adult. Human beings get held hostage by their unresolved emotional pain and are often unaware of how these traumatic experiences have influenced how they see themselves, others, and the world. By helping them uncover their mistaken beliefs about those experiences and create new beliefs that align with who they are now, they can heal and move forward with their lives. I am also passionate about helping those who have a desire to stop drinking and using drugs. As a recovering alcoholic, I have seen the effectiveness of 12-step recovery both personally and professionally and I continue to use 12-step recovery as a treatment for substance use disorders.
I borrow from several different therapeutic modalities one is Cognitive behavioral therapy. and will be soon trained in EMDR as a treatment for PTSD. I have been trained in Play therapy, and Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS).
I use a holistic, client centered, Adlerian approach that focuses first on developing the strong therapeutic relationship that starts with getting to know each person through their own personal social lenses. I believe the most effective way to reach people is to bring your authentic self because it is within this dynamic where the healing and freedom begins.
When I’m not in the office, I enjoy downhill skiing, MN Wild hockey, kayaking, agate hunting and shelling on Sanibel.
If my approach resonates with you, I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your path to emotional wellness. Together, we can unlock doors to healing and self-discovery. Feel free to reach out, and let’s start this journey together.
